Evelyn & George

Get Married!

Monday, April 6th, 2026

Norfolk (location will be sent closer to the date)

Dress Code: Spring Formal (Dresses & Suits)

A Message from the SMOB (Step-Mother-of-the-Bride)!

Hi everyone,

Wicked stepmother-of-the-bride, Amanda here! Can’t wait for this amazing wedding to take place and to spend time with all of you celebrating Evelyn and George!

I thought I’d jump on here as a few people have been asking what they can bring in terms of food or drinks.

As Evelyn and George are so busy with all the planning, I thought I could be helpful.

While our happy couple are generously providing us with three nights of accommodation and much of the food for the entire time, as far as drinks are concerned - please BRING (at least!) WHAT YOU’RE DRINKING, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. This would include beer and wine, as well as spirits, mixers, juice, and fizzy drinks.

Also, please consider we are at the venue for several days, plus we’re arriving on Easter Sunday (shops may be closed or have restricted hours) and we are some distance from any supermarkets, so please arrive with your haul!

It would also be wonderful if we could all contribute a bottle of bubbly or wine for the festivities on top of what we’re bringing for ourselves.

As well, feel free to bring your own snacks - for your room or even better, for sharing! With plenty of Canadians in town, it’s a great chance to showcase your favourite British finger food! I don’t think any of them will have tried Frazzles, Scampi Fries or Skips - or maybe things that are even better, haha!

While there are supermarkets en route to the venue, please remember the Easter holiday may affect opening hours (stores might be closed entirely), so Saturday shopping would guarantee you can get what you need.

In case they are open, here are some nearby supermarkets:

In the town Beccles:

- Tesco (NR34 9SJ - Sunday, 5 April Closed, Monday 6 April 8 AM - 6 PM)

- Morrisons (NR34 9BP - Check Hours)

- Lidl (NR34 9BN - Check Hours)

In the town Loddon:

- Central Co-op Food - Loddon (NR14 6EX)

- Premier (NR14 6NA)

There’s a Tesco off the Norwich Southern Bypass and a Sainsbury’s just outside of Bury St. Edmunds as well.

Post-Wedding Day (April 7th)

For those of you who’ve expressed interest, we’ve booked clay pigeon shooting at High Lodge Leisure Ltd in Darsham for 10am (Sorry for those hungover!)

Other guests can sleep in, explore the local area (there are now updated things to do at the bottom of this website) or just hang out and we’ll meet up later for drinks/snack/lunch for those that want to.

We’ve booked a final group meal at The Swan Pub in Lodden at 6pm. Details on location and the venue here: www.theloddonswan.co.uk

After that, Valerie and Barry will be heading back to Essex, and the rest of us will go back to the venue for our last night before we all depart by 10am sharp the next day!
